谈及他与队友培养的情谊，谢泼德说道：“当每个人都知道如何以正确的方式打篮球时，那就很容易了。我们已经一起打球几个月了，所以，能够每天到训练馆，通过一起学习更多的进攻和防守来继续了解彼此。我们只是在弄清楚彼此的打球方式，这真的很有趣。我觉得我们之间的默契还有化学反应每天都在变得更好。”
